Ohio Police officer accused of videotaping a young girl who was nude

Raymond Rose III, 30, was arrested and charged Thursday. \nColumbus Police said he was arrested on allegations of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and pandering obscenity involving a minor.

Rose has been with the Columbus Division of Police for four years and is with the patrol unit.

The division police said the officer will be placed on administrative leave, with no arrest powers and no firearm until the resolution of the case.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says the felony charges against Rose are serious.

\"(They) carry up to 8 years in prison and the charges themselves deal with the production of the video and that is why it is among the most serious of the child pornography charges,\" he said.

It's an arrest that has the county's top prosecutor sending out a safety reminder.

\"Parents need to be watchful even amongst relatives, even amongst neighbors,\" said O'Brien.
