Florida Man Arrested for Involuntary Manslaughter of 15-Year-Old Boy in Charlotte, NC. Kendal Morris was arrested in Key West, Florida nearly a month after Steven Gomez was shot and killed on February 12th. Morris was charged with involuntary manslaughter after police determined that he had accidentally shot the teenager while he was playing video games in his house. The arrest was the result of a joint effort between Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Key West Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff's Office, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
