Brittany Gosney was charged in connection with the death of her first-grade son, James Hutchinson. Gosney confessed to killing the boy in an effort to abandon him and her two other children in a park in the middle of the night. The young boy tried to get back into his mothers car but she drove off in her minivan, dragging his body in the parking lot of the park. Gosney and her boyfriend, James Hamilton, 42, allegedly dumped the boys body into the Ohio River.

The next day, Gosney reported her son missing. She was arrested after she made the report. She allegedly confessed to the crime and told police that Hamilton pressured her to abandon her children.
