Sheriffs investigators said Richard Beecher, 46, of Georgia, made contact with an undercover person on a social media app posing as a 15-year-old girl and being monitored by deputies on April 12. The person messaged Beecher that she was 15 years old.

Beecher then asked the subject to send him nude pictures and messaged the person pictures of his private parts.

The affidavit states Beecher eventually tried to solicit sexual acts from the undercover person. Beecher invited the undercover person to meet him at a local hotel for sexual acts on Tuesday. Deputies detained Beecher at the hotel.

Beecher is being held at Martin County Jail without bond.
