info18-year-old suspect arrested in shooting of 2 boys

One of the victims told police the boys were approached by a vehicle as they walked down the street. A car stopped next to them and the occupants asked the two boys where they were from. The boys said they started running away from the car, then its occupants began shooting at them.

A 14-year-old victim was shot in the left thigh and ankle, and a younger boy was shot in the right hand. The boys ran into a nearby daycare center and called 911.

Through an investigation, police identified a suspected shooter as Tyson Conner Rocco. Rocco was booked into Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of murder and felony discharge of a firearm.
