Utah man tried to meet 14 yr-old-girl at McDonalds, had meth in pocket

Brian Davidson, 49, started messaging who he thought was a girl younger than 14 years of age. Over the course of several months, Davidson messaged her, offering to buy her clothes and other items.

Davidson began asking sexual favors from the girl while continuing to ask her to meet. Statements said that he sent her pictures of lingerie and underwear offering to purchase them for her.

Davidson offered to reserve a hotel room for him and the girl on the night of Jan. 15. He told the girl that she could stay the night with him in the hotel room and arranged to pick her up. Davison arrived at the McDonalds where he was taken into custody without incident.

Police also found a small amount of methamphetamine in Davidson's pant pocket and a glass pipe. According to statements, Davidson had previously been convicted of several drug charges including felony charges.
