Florida man arrested with $1 million bond for threatening attack on the University of West Florida
Shane Rei Davis, 23, was arrested Thursday by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Office working in cooperation with the FBI.
According to his arrest report, Davis made numerous school-shooting threats while talking to other video gamers who were playing the video game Valorant.
While chatting with his fellow-players, law enforcement claims Davis made several comments.
\u00e2\u0080\u009cThe threats were very specific in nature and were taken extremely seriously by law enforcement,\u00e2\u0080\u009d wrote SRSO spokesman Rich Aloy in a written release.
Based of those comments, an SRSO deputy was dispatched Thursday to Davis\u00e2\u0080\u0099 home at 3616 Sweet Bay Drive to arrest him.
Davis was charged with intimidation by writing or sending a threat to kill or injure and booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail with a $1 million bond.
