Florida man arrested after ax attack that sent 1 to the hospital

A verbal altercation turned physical when Brandon Venable, 34, took an axe to the victim's head and arm. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and will be okay.

Venable was found with an axe and sledgehammer in hand when deputies arrived at the scene. After 2.5 hours of negotiations and numerous commands to place the axe and sledgehammer on the ground, Venable was taken into custody.

He is charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
