Two men wanted in connection with a shooting that left seven dead in Alabama were taken into custody in Oregon
Acting on a tip from Alabama law enforcement, Frederic Rogers, 23, and John Legg, 20, were stopped.
Rogers and Legg were wanted in connection with a murder in Valhermoso Springs, Alabama and are awaiting extradition to Alabama to face capital murder charges.
Seven people \u00e2\u0080\u0094 three women and four men \u00e2\u0080\u0094 were found dead on June 5 in a home that had been set on fire. A dog also was found dead in the home.
The victims are
Tammy Muzzey, 45, of Valhermoso Springs\n Jeramy Roberts, 31, of Athens\n James Benford, 22, of Decatur\n Emily Payne, 21, of Valhermoso Springs\n Roger Jones, Jr., 19, of Decatur\n William Hodgin, 18, of Somerville\n Juvenile, 17
The sheriff did not give a possible motive for the slayings, but said they believe three of the victims were in a club with the two suspects called \u00e2\u0080\u009cthe seven deadly sins.\u00e2\u0080\u009d The sheriff described it as a local club, but did not elaborate.
More than 25 law enforcement agencies worked together in the investigation.
