Washington man arrested at Oregon truck stop on suspicion of kidnapping and assaulting California woman

The woman escaped from his tractor-trailer and fled to Love\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Travel Stop convenience store, where she reported that she was being held against her will and had been assaulted, deputies said. She said the suspect had driven her from California.

Deputies responded to Love\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Travel Stop and found Bieroth in a semi-truck and arrested him.

Lanny Bieroth, 49, is accused of second-degree kidnapping. He\u00e2\u0080\u0099s being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center on $250,000 bail.
