4 arrested in Phoenix pellet gun shootings that killed woman, seriously injured teenager

Police say Charles Harris, 19; Troy Brunetti, 18; Larry Scott, 19; and Austin Olson, 21, drove to three north Phoenix locations around 12 a.m. Wednesday and are suspected of shooting at people.

Olson was identified as the driver.

The first shooting was reported involved a 38-year-old woman that was shot while standing in the drive-thru of a McDonald's restaurant.

She was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries, police said.

Brunetti told police Harris shot the woman at McDonald's, while Scott said it was either Brunetti or Harris.

The four men also went to the area of 9th and Peoria avenues, where one of them shot a 17-year-old boy who was walking on the sidewalk.

According to police, he was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and is in critical condition.

Brunetti told police Olson shot the 17-year-old, but Olson said he doesn't remember who shot him, court records said.

At the area near Sixth and West Grovers avenues, officers said they responded to a call about four men trying to take someone's car.

The carjack victim called police after one of the suspects fired a pellet gun, shattering the car's window, police said.

Brunetti admitted to police that he held a man in the car at gunpoint, and Harris took the gun from Brunetti and shot at the man's car, according to court records.

Each was arrested and booked into a Maricopa County jail on suspicion of murder, drive-by shooting, aggravated assault and armed robbery.
