California teacher arrested, suspected of sending explicit messages to student

On March 2, 2020, at 1:08 PM, Sheriff\u00e2\u0080\u0099s officials received information that Palm Middle School teacher, 39-year-old Emily Wentworth, of Nuevo, sent inappropriate and explicit messages to a student.

Moreno Valley Station Investigators assumed the investigation. Investigators conducted interviews, collected evidence, and obtained a search warrant for Wentworth\u00e2\u0080\u0099s residence to collect digital media. The search warrant was served, and Wentworth was taken into custody without incident at her residence in Nuevo, CA. Wentworth was later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for distributing harmful matter to a minor.
